Cormac The Puggle Sprayed By Skunk

By | November 17, 2010

Turns out, we have a skunk living under our porch. Fun Fact: You know you might have a skunk if there are small holes in your yard.

“What are you doing with those cans?”

“Oh no!”

Finally Clean!

Yes! It did work. We used 1 large can of tomato juice within 15 minutes of the spray happening. (we had to race to the store, since we didn’t have juice!) The only place that still smelled for a week or so after was his snout – but I’m guessing that’s because we didn’t use any juice on his face. :-)

…But let me tell you- skunk spray doesn’t smell how you think it would… It smells much worse!

I was going to ask what Sam did! I’m always afraid my two puggles are going to get sprayed because all summer long we have a FAMILY of skunks in our back yard! Good to know it worked! Glad the lovebug is clean now! :)

They were having their last ‘potty-time’ in the back yard before bed, (we let them out unsupervised), and they started barking madly…. Then, almost right away we smelled the skunk and raced outside to find Cormac rolling in the dirt while Maddy was at the opposite end of the yard cowering! We didn’t see the skunk, but we sure smelled him!
